Capcom will close the Resident Evil Re: Verse, because the series has reached a “new turning point”

The third -person multiplayer shooter Resident Evil Re: Verse, which went as a gift for the purchase of Resident Evil Village, is approaching the end of the life cycle. Capcom announced the date of closing the game.

As it became known, Resident Evil Re: Verse will be closed on June 30 at 9:59 pm Moscow. In anticipation of this, the game will be removed from the sale on PC (Steam), PS4 and Xbox One, as well as the microtransaction – both will happen on March 4 at 8:00 in Moscow.

Capcom noted that the Resident Evil Re: Verse was created on the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil series (but was late for the holiday for a year and a half), “far surpassed expectations” of the company and excellently coped with its original task.

However, now, when the franchise has reached the “new turning point”, the game comes to an end: “We are extremely grateful to you for the warm technique Resident Evil Re: Verse and deeply regret that we have become a messenger of these disappointing news.”

Recall, initially the Resident Evil Re: Verse was supposed to be released simultaneously with the Resident Evil Village (May 7, 2021), and as a result I saw the light only with the release of the Winters ’EXPANSION (October 28, 2022).

The resident evil Re: Verse release was criticized for unsuccessful balance, lack of content and aggressive monetization. In Steam, the project “mostly negative” reviews (34 %) and no more than 30 people of daily online.

Resident Evil Re: Verse offers to push characters from different games of the series in contractions with two to six people. Fighters compete in five -minute matches, the victory in which the participant with the largest number of points won.
