Let us remind you that Black Myth: Wukong at The Game Awards 2024 is presented in four categories: “Best Action Film”, “Best Direction”, “Best Visual Style” and the most important one – “Game of the Year”.
As journalists from the Polygon portal noted, Black Myth: Wukong managed to get into the nominations for the title of best game of the year with the lowest average rating on the Metacritic aggregator website in the history of The Game Awards.

In anticipation of the August release, the PC version of Black Myth: Wukong earned an average of 81% from Western reviewers presented on Metacritic – the PS5 edition with 76% is not taken into account by the aggregator when displaying the game’s rating.
At the same time, until recently, the lowest-rated nominees in the history of The Game Awards were Control (award in 2019) and A Plague Tale: Requiem (2022) – both have 82 out of 100% on Metacritic.
