Let us recall that the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3 revealed plans for the eighth major patch last fall. Stress testing of the update began at the end of January, and a full release was expected during 2025.
As it became known, the eighth update for Baldur’s Gate 3 will be ready for release on April 15. On the same day, by the way, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will receive a hardcore mode, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will receive The Trygon Update patch.
The release of the latest major update for Baldur’s Gate 3 will be celebrated on April 16 (starting at 16:00 Moscow time) with a special broadcast where the developers will try out the patch. A teaser trailer for the event is attached below.
The main features of the eighth patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 will be crossplay support between all target platforms, photo mode, and 12 new subclasses (one for each class).
In addition, the developers will implement a split-screen function in a multiplayer session on Xbox Series S, and will make a number of fixes and improvements, including those related to performance.
Baldur’s Gate 3 left Early Access on August 3, 2023 on PC (Steam, GOG), and subsequently made its way to Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Meanwhile, Larian is already “fully focused” on the new game.
