A reliable insider has revealed what the new co-op game from the creators of It Takes Two will be called and when it will be announced

The creators of It Takes Two and A Way Out from Hazelight Studios are still keeping their next game a secret, but a recent teaser from the developers and revelations from a reliable insider have lifted the veil of secrecy over the project.

It Takes Two director Joseph Fares said back in 2022 that Hazelight Studios had already taken on a new project. According to him, it is “something damn cool” and “mind-blowing.”

Last week, Fares confirmed that we are talking about a game based on a new franchise, and the name of the project consists of two words: the first begins with S and contains five letters, and the second ends with N and contains seven letters.

The teaser image from the official microblog of Hazelight Studios (see photo below) also hinted that, following It Takes Two and A Way Out, the team’s new game will be cooperative.

According to trusted insider billbil-kun, Hazelight Studios’ next game is called Split Fiction and, judging by the developer’s teaser, will reimagine the idea of split-screen co-op play.

The informant also added that the official announcement of the new Hazelight project should take place in 2024. In November, the studio will celebrate its 10th anniversary – the presentation may take place as part of the anniversary celebration.

It Takes Two was released in March 2021 on PC (Steam, EA App), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and subsequently reached Nintendo Switch. Last week, sales of the game exceeded 20 million copies.
