The next game from the creators of It Takes Two and A Way Out from the Swedish Hazelight Studios has not even been officially presented yet, and trusted insider billbil-kun is already reporting when its release will take place.
Let’s remember that in an October publication, billbil-kun revealed that the new game from Hazelight Studios, in accordance with the teaser by It Takes Two director Joseph Fares, will be called Split Fiction and will be officially announced before the end of 2024.
According to billbil-kun, the debut trailer for Split Fiction will be shown this month, December. The insider named the future The Game Awards 2024 award ceremony as the most likely platform for the presentation.
As for the release timing, if you believe billbil-kun, you won’t have to wait long for the next Hazelight Studios project – the premiere will supposedly take place in three months, on March 6, 2025, on PC and unnamed consoles.
Fares spoke about Hazelight Studios taking on a new project back in 2022. According to him, it is “something damn cool” and “mind-blowing.” We are talking about a game based on a new franchise.
An October teaser from the official microblog of Hazelight Studios also hinted that, following It Takes Two and A Way Out, the team’s new project will be cooperative and rethink the idea of split-screen when playing together.
Hazelight Studios’ latest release to date is It Takes Two. The co-op platformer was named best game of the year at The Game Awards 2021 and recently surpassed 20 million copies sold.
