Blades of Fire tells the story of the gifted blacksmith Aran de Lir, who uses his own forged weapons in battle. In the game world, Queen Nerea cast a spell that turns steel into stone. And only her army owns the divine metal, which breaks other blades. The protagonist is one of the last gifted masters, who knows the craft of creating swords and axes. He will be assisted by the keeper of knowledge Adso, who understands the ancient language of blacksmiths.

Weapon forging is a key mechanic in Blades of Fire, as the authors hint at even in the debut trailer. The gamer will need to find unique scrolls, upgrade skills, and create weapons that are relevant to a particular situation.

«Choose between seven different weapon groups and more than 30 unique forge scrolls that allow you to create a virtually infinite number of weapon combinations. Your choice will be decisive when facing the enemy! ” – the authors themselves describe an important gameplay feature of Blades of Fire.

Having selected a suitable sword for his ward, the player then embarks on the path of mastering a complex combat system. It allows you to “cut, stab or bludgeon enemies depending on the situation.” And in total there will be more than 50 types of enemies with unique armor, weapons and fighting styles.

Blades of Fire will be available on May 22 on PC (Epic Game Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S.
