Let us remind you that Cyberpunk 2077 in the Ultimate Edition (with the Phantom Liberty add-on included) will go on sale for Nintendo Switch 2 at the same time as the console, that is, on June 5 of this year.
CD Projekt Red’s Vice President of Business Development Jan Rosner clarified on his microblog that the price of Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2 will be a full $70/€70.
The retail version of the game will come on a 64GB cartridge and will not require downloading additional content. As such, Cyberpunk 2077 will take up a quarter of the Nintendo Switch 2’s available 256GB of internal storage.
Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier told us how Cyberpunk 2077 plays on the Nintendo Switch 2. According to the journalist, the game runs at 40 frames per second in TV mode.
A GamesRadar writer who played Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo Switch 2 for about 20 minutes said of the experience:
- The game runs “pretty well” on the console;
- Graphics look like a mix of medium and high settings on PC;
- Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2 “looks more than passable, and in some places even good”;
- Despite the above reservations, the journalist remained impressed by the port.
Unlike the Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red is bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to the new Nintendo console on its own. They promise to use all the features of the Switch 2, including the mouse function.
