Garmin has expanded its Lily 2 line of miniature smartwatches with a new model, more aimed at people who regularly exercise and lead an active lifestyle. We are talking about the Lily 2 Active model, which is equipped with a GPS module, has two mechanical buttons and costs $50 more than the original Lily 2.

The presence of a built-in GPS receiver is the most important improvement. Now users will be able to more accurately track their movements during various sports, such as running or cycling. A pair of mechanical buttons on the side of the case is also a nice addition, since interacting with the device through the touch display is not very convenient.

In addition, Garmin promises up to nine days of battery life, which is almost double that of the Lily 2. The significant increase in battery life puts the Lily 2 Active almost on par with Garmin’s $1,000 Epix Pro Sapphire Edition smartwatch. The new product also received several sports functions that are not present in Lily 2. For example, the watch comes with pre-installed applications for tracking activity while playing tennis, golf, etc. The Garmin Coach application is supported, which, among other things, provides access to free adaptive plans training from experienced instructors.

The Lily 2 Active smartwatch is available in Lunar Gold, Silver and Jasper Green. Those wishing to purchase the new product will have to pay $300.
