The open-world action-adventure Star Wars Outlaws had a weaker start than Ubisoft expected, but sales of the game were still unknown. The secret was made clear by the Insider Gaming portal.
Insider Gaming journalists were unable to find out what kind of performance Ubisoft expected from Star Wars Outlaws at launch, but the portal revealed the game’s sales for the first month on the market.
According to Insider Gaming informants close to the project, as of September 30, 2024, total sales of Star Wars Outlaws on all target platforms amounted to 1 million copies.
For comparison: the result of Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the first three months after release, according to the sources of insider Tom Henderson, amounted to a much more impressive 5 million units.
On Friday, Ubisoft announced that Star Wars Outlaws will receive three updates in the coming weeks with various improvements (including stealth and combat systems). Patches will be released on October 3, October 24 and November 21.
Star Wars Outlaws was released on August 30 on PC (Ubisoft Connect, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. On November 21, the game will go on sale for Steam, and will also receive its first story addition – Wild Card.
