Publisher Focus Entertainment and developers Saber Interactive have announced the release of the promised first major patch for their third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
Update 3.0, released on September 26 for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, adds support for ultra-wide monitors, private PvE lobbies in Operations mode, and a separate sparring location on the battle barge.
The requested changes in the story campaign were also not long in coming:
- To improve the single-player experience, enemies on Veteran difficulty have become less aggressive and slightly less durable;
- AI-controlled allies should become more effective and start finishing off enemies on their own, rather than waiting for the user to do it.
We also made balance changes (a fully charged power fist strike now deals much more damage), reduced the number of Chaos minions, and increased the rarity of armor drops from destructible containers in Operations.
In addition, the authors have improved the player revival system in the Eternal War PvP mode and enemy AI, expanded customization options, and fixed a number of bugs.
«We truly value your reviews and feedback. We hope you enjoy the improvements this update brings. Thank you, Paratroopers! The Emperor protects! – remind the creators of Space Marine 2.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on September 9 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Sales of the game have already exceeded 2 million copies, and the developers are thinking about releasing add-ons and even Space Marine 3.
