The action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 failed to stay at the top of the Steam sales chart for the third week in a row. After the start of extended access, the football simulator EA Sports FC 25 took the lead.

The official premiere of EA Sports FC 25 will take place on September 27, but those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition received access a week earlier. The rating on Steam, based on 3.2 thousand reviews, is only 50%, but this did not stop the simulator from soaring to first place. Most of the authors of negative reviews complained about the lack of innovations, problems carried over from the previous part and many technical shortcomings. Among the advantages noted were the new Rush mode and improvements to the career mode.

Other events on the chart:

  • A city-building strategy with elements of the survival simulator Frostpunk 2 started in fourth place with “mostly positive” reviews (72% based on 6.3 thousand reviews) and a personal online record of 35,533 users (the game has already paid for itself and overtook the first part in sales in three day);

  • Next is the former Sony exclusive, the action game God of War Ragnarok – it has “mostly positive” reviews (70% based on 4.6 thousand reviews) and 35,615 people at its peak;

  • The role-playing action game Final Fantasy XVI, which debuted last week, rose 11 positions, and its peak online reached 27,508 people;
  • Thanks to discounts, Cyberpunk 2077 (-50%) and Elden Ring (-30%) returned to the top 10 (eighth and ninth positions);
  • After the start of the sixth season of Black Cell, the Call of Duty shooter gained 37 positions and became tenth;
  • The card game store simulator TCG Card Shop Simulator immediately moved up 64 lines (now it is 12th) and updated its own online record (38,762 users);
  • Despite “very positive” reviews (81% based on 1.4 thousand reviews), the expanded re-release of the zombie action game Dead Rising only reached 22nd place and attracted 6,497 players at the same time;
  • Among the new products, the chart also included the meditative castle building simulator Tiny Glade (96% based on 2 thousand reviews, peak online – 10,692 people), a collection of original retro games UFO 50 (96% based on 1.8 thousand reviews; 3652 users) and adventure The Plucky Squire (95% based on 1.2K ratings; 1,792 players) are ranked 34th, 39th and 46th respectively.
