In addition to the Magic V3, Honor announced a more affordable foldable smartphone, the Magic Vs3. The new product turned out to be a little thicker than the flagship model, but still has a very thin body for such devices – 9.8 mm when folded and 4.65 mm when unfolded. It is even 0.1 mm thinner than last year’s Magic V2, which was until now the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world.

Honor Magic Vs3 is built on last year’s flagship eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with a frequency of up to 2.8 GHz and an Adreno 740 graphics accelerator. The amount of RAM is 12 or 16 GB, and flash memory is from 256 GB to 1 TB.

The internal folding OLED screen of the smartphone has a diagonal of 7.92 inches, an aspect ratio of 9.78:9 and a resolution of 2344 × 2156 pixels. The diagonal of the external OLED display is 6.43 inches, aspect ratio is 20:9, resolution is 2376 × 1060 pixels. Both screens support adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz, PWM backlight dimming up to 3840 Hz, and AI Defocus Eye Protection.

The Magic Vs3 smartphone is equipped with a main 50-megapixel camera, supplemented by a wide-angle camera with a 40-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. There is also a 16MP selfie camera on each display.

The power source is a 5000 mAh battery with support for 66 W fast wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. The software platform is Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0.1 shell. Various AI-powered features are supported. Magic Vs3 is available in black (Velvet Black), white (Qilian Snow) and green (Tundra Green).

Sales of the new product will begin on July 19. The price of Honor Magic Vs3 in the basic version with 12 and 256 GB of memory is 6999 yuan (about $965), the model with 12 and 512 GB of memory will cost 7699 yuan (about $1060), and the version of Honor Magic Vs3 with 16 GB of RAM and flash memory A 1 TB drive costs 8699 yuan (about $1200).
