The developers from Larian Studios are already moving on, but the industry still can’t let go of Baldur’s Gate 3. Recently, the famous fantasy RPG received another award in the Game of the Year category.
At the Develop:Brighton conference, the Develop:Star Awards 2024 ceremony honored the games of the last 12 months: releases from the second half of 2023 competed for trophies along with projects from the first half of 2024.
The developers from Larian Studios with Baldur’s Gate 3 and Remedy Entertainment with the horror Alan Wake 2 took home the most awards – three each – but there can only be one winner.
The main winner of the Develop:Star Awards 2024 was Baldur’s Gate 3. The RPG received the “Game of the Year” and “Best Narrative” awards, and Larian itself received the title of best studio.
As for Remedy, Alan Wake 2 had no equal in the Best Visual and Best Sound categories, and the studio’s creative director Sam Lake won Best Creative Director.
