The International 2024 Dota 2 esports tournament with a prize fund of $2.5 million has ended. Team Liquid won a landslide victory in the grand final, defeating Gaimin Gladiators with a score of 3:0.
Team Liquid became a two-time winner of The International – the last time the team took the coveted trophy was in 2017, but with a different lineup. For first place in 2024, more than $1.1 million will be awarded – about 45% of the prize fund, which has become one of the most modest in the history of the tournament. Gaimin Gladiators will receive about $359 thousand.
This time, Team Liquid was represented by: Mike “miCKe” Wu, Michal “Nisha” Jankowski, Neta “33” Shapira, Samuel “Boxi” Swan and Aiden “Insania” Sarkoi. Notably, Neta “33” Shapira is now a two-time winner of The International. Previously, he won the tournament in 2022 with the Tundra Esports team with a prize pool of $18.9 million.
The International 2024 took place from September 4 to 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
