Samsung has introduced a new addition to the Galaxy M series of smartphones – the budget model Galaxy M05, similar in design and characteristics to the Galaxy A05 smartphone released a year ago.

Like the Galaxy A05, the Galaxy M05 smartphone is equipped with a 6.7-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution (1600 × 720 pixels) and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The teardrop notch at the top of the screen houses an 8 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the rear panel there is a main 50-megapixel camera (f/1.8) with a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4) and LED flash.

The smartphone is based on a 12nm eight-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor with an ARM Mali-G52 MP2 graphics accelerator, which is complemented by only 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a 64 GB eMMC 5.1 flash drive. The storage can be expanded by up to 1 TB using a microSD card.

The power source is a 5000 mAh battery with support for 25 W charging. The smartphone’s specifications also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless adapters, GPS, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The smartphone runs Android 14 with One UI Core 6.0 interface. The company promises to provide two operating system updates, as well as security updates for four years.

Samsung Galaxy M05 comes in green color. The smartphone will soon go on sale at a price of $95.
