Video card manufacturers rarely release even a second revision of a successful model. This typically occurs when changes are required at the board level or cooling issues are detected. And purely cosmetic changes, especially for one series of a product, are rare. Therefore, the release of the third revision of the Asus GeForce RTX 4060 Dual is a surprise.
The first, original Asus GeForce RTX 4060 Dual model had a thickness of 2.5 slots, while the second and third received a thinner two-slot design. As the name suggests, they all come with two fans. The distinctive feature of the V3 is obviously its more compact fans and sleek design. No white outline or text on the body – everything is Spartan.
The technical characteristics of the Asus GeForce RTX 4060 Dual V3 remain the same: 2535 MHz for the model with overclocking and 2490 for the version without it. In both cases, clock speeds are higher than Nvidia reference specifications, and they are set via GPU Tweak. It is worth noting that just recently Asus also pleased us with the release of its third revision video card – the Radeon RX 6600 Dual V3 model.
