Let us remind you that GTA VI is officially expected in the fall of 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, although Kotaku sources warned in the spring about the developers’ “back-up plan” – a postponement to 2026.

As reported by the author of GTA Base under the pseudonym billsyliamgta, Rockstar Games has allegedly already decided to postpone the premiere of GTA VI to the first half of 2026. The information is based on information from “several developers in two studios.”

Revealed billsyliamgta and release dates for GTA VI on PC. The PC version has not been officially confirmed, but the informant claims that it should be expected 12-18 months after the console release (that is, in 2027).

Set in the Florida-inspired state of Leonidas, GTA VI will see players take on the role of outlaws Jason and Lucia. They promise “the largest and most believable world” in the history of the series.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick commented (most evasively) on the situation surrounding the potential PC version of GTA VI at the TD Cowen conference in May.

Former GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 animator Mike York spoke about why Take-Two and Rockstar are delaying the release of GTA VI on PC, shortly after the premiere of the first trailer for the game.
