The seventh major patch brought with it unique cutscenes that expand on the “evil” endings of Baldur’s Gate 3. While ordinary players are trying to dig up more and more new scenes, blogger SlimX again came across forbidden content. Be warned: there are spoilers ahead.
While in the original version of Baldur’s Gate 3, the player who decided to subjugate the Netherian brain to his will only sits on the throne of the Absolute with a devilish smile, with the new patch, a number of options have now opened up for the villain gamer in relation to the use of new powers.
We will not list the available options: we will focus on the opening of SlimX. In the version of the continuation of the scene marked with the “impossible” flag, the player, by force of will, removes the illithid parasite stuck in his head, which threatened to turn the heroes into mind flayers, and… simply walks off into the sunset (alone or with companions).
It’s easy to see why this ending didn’t make it to release – it’s not that “evil” (more like extremely apathetic) and surprisingly short (less than a minute). However, the puzzled faces of the companions and residents of Baldur’s Gate, watching their new (former) ruler, are worth a lot.
Since the mentioned scene is marked with an “impossible” flag, a simple user will not be able to provoke it. SlimX in his video (attached above) showed both options, playing as Laezel, but this option for completing Baldur’s Gate 3 would not be her exclusive.
