Traditional pipes have not gone away, although they have disappeared from the spotlight. Now they have their own niche – in particular, push-button phones are often chosen by travelers and fishermen. They make it possible to stay connected for a longer time without charging – and in addition, they often offer devices with good case protection (which, moreover, is not so bad to lose, if anything happens). The Xenium X300 phone is aimed at a similar niche.
The general format of the device is simple and clear – it is a classic push-button phone in a candy bar form factor. With large keys, but this is not a “pensioner” device, the proportions are traditional. Dimensions: 142 × 59 × 17.5 mm, weight – 141 grams.
Above the keyboard there is a relatively large screen for a push-button phone: LCD, 2.8 inches diagonal, resolution 320 × 240 pixels. It is quite bright and with large fonts, making the phone comfortable to use in various conditions. It does not have a touch surface; it can only be controlled using a hardware keyboard.
Above the screen there is a speaker, while the main speaker is located on the back cover, near the 0.3 MP camera (it is needed for technical recording of some moments; in artistic terms, there is no point in counting on it).
The back cover is removable, underneath it there are slots for two SIM cards (mini-SIM standard) and a MicroSD memory card. A removable battery with a capacity of 10.8 Wh (2920 mAh) is also located here.
At the edges we see a flashlight, a switch for this same flashlight, and under the cover on the bottom edge there is a USB Type-C port for charging (yes, Type-C is already used on the simplest push-button phones), USB Type-A for reverse charging and mini-jack for headphones.
Already the description of the functional elements and battery indicates the specifics of the device. The capacious battery, which is what Xenium phones have long been famous for, allows you to expect that the device will hold a charge for up to 90 days in standby mode and up to 36 hours in talk mode. And the USB Type-A port makes it possible to charge other devices using the Xenium X300, that is, use the phone as a power bank.
We add to this a characteristic design, a durable and unpretentious body made of matte plastic, and even a “camouflage” color – and we see before us an excellent companion on a hike or on a long fishing trip.
It is worth mentioning the communication capabilities and functionality of the Xenium X300. Everything is simple here – the phone works in GSM 900/1800 MHz networks, the use of the Internet is not expected. There is Bluetooth 2.1. There is also a built-in MP3 player, FM radio, alarm clock and calculator.
Xenium X300 is already available for sale at a price starting from 3,099 rubles.
