There have been noticeable changes in the Steam sales chart. Among other things, the portable PC Steam Deck finally lost the first place, which it held for four weeks in a row.
The leader was the pre-order of the role-playing shooter Black Myth: Wukong from the Chinese studio Game Science (released on August 20), which was in second place a week earlier. The official in-game performance tool is already extremely popular (85,277 concurrent users at its peak).
Also in the top five were two more upcoming games – shooters Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (September 9), which added 29 positions, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (October 25), which rose by 11 positions.
Other events:
- God of War (2018) returned to the chart – thanks to discounts of up to 60% depending on the edition (the promotion has ended), the action-adventure game immediately fell into seventh place;
- Games from the Borderlands series also appeared on the chart again, sales of which increased against the backdrop of the premiere of the film “Borderlands”: Borderlands 3 climbed to 11th place, and Borderlands 2 to 35th place;
- The best new product is the two-dimensional pixel horror Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit from Mega Cat Studios, released on the tenth anniversary of the series (rating based on 4.1 thousand reviews – 96%, peak online – 6995 users);
- The second most successful release was Fate/stay night Remastered from Type-Moon Games – dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the franchise, the re-release of the 2004 visual novel debuted in 29th place, receiving “very positive” reviews (94% based on 1.1 thousand reviews). ratings) and attracted 1229 users at the same time;
- Also among the new products in the top 100 are the action platformer Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown from Ubisoft Montpellier (34th place), the former exclusive of the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect, the card roguelike Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers from Purple Moss Collectors (37th place) e), steampunk turn-based RPG SteamWorld Heist II from Thunderful Development (64th) and adventure RPG Cat Quest III from The Gentlebros (72nd). The last two had the highest ratings – 96% and 94% based on 286 and 800 reviews, respectively;
- Valve’s yet-to-be-announced shooter Deadlock reached 23,327 concurrent users in secret closed testing;
- The shooter Vladik Brutal, released on August 9, from lone developer Vladislav Meshcheryakov (Narko Games), did not hit the chart, although it received “very positive” reviews (89% based on 2.3 thousand reviews) and attracted 2,009 people at the same time.
