Vivo introduced the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro smartphones, which stand out for their powerful electronics, Zeiss cameras, and the combination of a thin body and a high-capacity battery.

The Vivo V40 smartphone received an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which is also equipped with its predecessor Vivo V30. In turn, the Vivo V40 Pro model is offered with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip, which significantly exceeds the performance of the Dimensity 8200 processor found in the previous three models of the Vivo V Pro series. The amount of RAM is up to 12 GB, the capacity of flash memory is up to 512 GB.

Each of the new products is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 4500 cd/m2. The hole at the top of the screen houses a 50-megapixel camera with a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. Also, the smartphones have the same dimensions – 164.2 × 74.9 × 7.58 mm.

On the back of the Vivo V40 Pro smartphone there is a 50-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor with optical image stabilization, as well as a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a Sony IMX816 sensor and a 50-megapixel sensor with wide-angle optics. The Vivo V40 smartphone has a dual main camera with a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization complemented by a 50-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens.

The smartphones are also equipped with 5500 mAh batteries, the largest in the Vivo V series. Both models support FlashCharge fast wired charging with a power of 80 W. It is reported that the batteries will withstand 1,600 full charge-discharge cycles, retaining at least 80% of their original capacity.

The smartphones run Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. The company promises to provide “50 months of trouble-free operation” to the devices, referring to the duration of software support. Both models are available in Meteor Blue, Moonlight White and Stellar Silver color options. At the same time, the V40 smartphone has two more color options – Nebula Purple (purple) and Sunglow Peach (peach).

The Vivo V40 starts at $480, while the Vivo V40 Pro starts at $655.
