The day before, the “Season of Infernal Hordes” started in the action-RPG Diablo IV from Blizzard Entertainment. It brought with it a new mode, quests, dungeons, legendary items and… a nice bug.

Soon after the launch, players discovered that the legendary blacksmith hardening manuals they had collected in the fourth season were transferred to the fifth for some unknown reason, although they should have been reset.

The mechanic is part of the season progression system. Tempering Guides allow users to select affixes to add to equipment. The more you play, the more powerful recipes you can unlock.

Tempering Guides arrived in Diablo IV with the launch of Season 4

Blizzard, represented by the head of Diablo community relations, Adam Fletcher, has already commented on the problem and, contrary to the prevailing trend, did not play “on-duty kickers.”

«This was not the original intention of the designers. Don’t expect this to happen again in the future, but in Season 5 we will turn a blind eye to it,” Fletcher said on social media and on the Blizzard forum.

The fifth season will be the shortest in the history of Diablo IV – just over two months

In addition to the mentioned bug, the season includes the roglite mode “Infernal Hordes”, chains of story quests, more than 50 unique and legendary items, “Hell Breaches” (a new type of dungeon) and much more.

«Season of the Infernal Hordes started on August 6 in Diablo IV on PC (Steam, Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and will end on October 8 with the release of the paid story add-on Vessel of Hatred.
