Although pre-orders for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 opened at the end of May, the developers were in no hurry to reveal the “appetites” of the PC version, as they worked on optimization until the very end.

As a result of Saber’s efforts, the PC version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 can be played on a machine with a processor no worse than an Intel Core i5-8600K, a GeForce GTX 1060-level video card and 8 GB of RAM.

Unlike Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws, the system requirements for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 were not designed with upscalers in mind, but only include configurations for playing at 1080p resolution.

System requirements for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 are presented below:

Minimum requirements (1080p, 30 frames / s, low graphics settings)

  • OS: Windows 10, 11 (64 bit);
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X;
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580;
  • Video memory: 6 GB;
  • RAM: 8 GB;
  • DirectX: 12;
  • Disk space: 75 GB (SSD required).

Recommended requirements (1080p, 60 fps, Ultra graphics settings)

  • OS: Windows 10, 11 (64 bit);
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X;
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT;
  • Video memory: 8 GB;
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • DirectX: 12;
  • Disk space: 75 GB (SSD required).

Steam users remained puzzled by the high, in their opinion, recommended requirements for 1080p, and in the comments to the announcement they called the “appetites” “extremely reasonable.” “Hurray, my laptop will run the game!” – ZuayZeen rejoices.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and premium edition buyers will have access to the game on September 5. Support for at least the AMD FSR 3 upscaler is expected at launch.
