HP has announced the OmniBook 7 notebooks with a 14-inch and 16-inch display. Both devices will be available at retail in several configurations, allowing buyers to choose the most suitable option based on their needs. HP’s new devices will be part of the Copilot+ PC ecosystem, as they use processors with an integrated neural engine (NPU) to accelerate the processing of AI-related tasks.

The larger OmniBook 7 features a 16-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2048 × 1280 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel used provides a peak brightness of 400 cd/m², a response time of 0.2 ms, and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. There will also be a variant with an IPS display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a variable refresh rate from 60 to 240 Hz. In this configuration, the response time is 3 ms, and the peak brightness is 500 cd/m².
The third option includes an IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and an anti-glare coating. The panel used has a peak brightness of 300 cd/m² and sRGB color space coverage of 62.5%. Regardless of the selected configuration, the laptop is equipped with a display with VESA HDR 400 and TÜV+ EyeSafe certificates, confirming the safety of the screen for the eyes during long-term use.
In its maximum configuration, the OmniBook 7 is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor (16 cores, 16 threads, operating frequency up to 5.1 GHz) with a 13 TOPS NPU module. Options are available with integrated Intel Arc graphics or a discrete Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card with 6 GB of GDDR6 video memory.
It supports up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of storage. A 70 Wh battery provides battery life, and a 100 W power adapter is provided for charging. The laptop measures 35.78 x 25.47 x 1.49 cm and weighs 1.95 kg.
The more compact 14-inch OmniBook 7 in the maximum configuration is equipped with an OLED display with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels (3K) and a variable refresh rate from 48 to 120 Hz. 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space is declared. A version with an OLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels will also be available, as well as IPS displays with a resolution of 2.2K or 2K.
This model will also be available in several configurations with different processors, including the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H (16 cores, 16 threads, operating frequency up to 5.1 GHz) with a 13 TOPS NPU module and integrated Intel Arc or Intel Graphics. Versions are available with 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512 GB or 1 TB M.2 solid-state drive.
Autonomous operation is provided by a 68 Wh battery. According to the manufacturer, charging from 0 to 50% takes only 30 minutes. The laptop has dimensions of 31.39 × 22.65 × 1.49 cm and weighs 1.50 kg.
Both versions of the HP OmniBook 7 laptop come with Windows 11 Pro or Windows 11 Home. The retail price of the new products and the release dates are still unknown.
