Owners of the new iPhone 16e have encountered a problem with playing music via Bluetooth. It is reported that when connecting wireless headphones, the sound constantly cuts out. Complaints began coming in shortly after the start of sales, which took place just two weeks ago.

According to 9to5Mac, numerous reports of the issue have appeared on the Apple Support Community, Reddit, and X. Users note that the crashes occur exclusively on the iPhone 16e – other iPhone models connected to the same Bluetooth devices work without such problems.

One user wrote: “I just upgraded from the 13 mini to the 16e, but any Bluetooth device periodically freezes, the sound cuts out for a second, then continues. And so on in a loop.” Another owner reported that he bought the 16e two days ago, but listening to music via Bluetooth is very uncomfortable due to the constant freezing of the sound.

Some buyers contacted Apple and received a replacement device. However, according to them, the new smartphone has exactly the same problems. Despite numerous complaints, Apple has not yet officially acknowledged the problem or said whether it is working on fixing it.

Let us recall that the iPhone 16e received an A18 processor, a 48-megapixel camera, a 6.1-inch OLED display, a Face ID system, and a USB-C port. In addition, the new product is equipped with Apple’s first proprietary 5G modem, which should improve the energy efficiency of the device. The cost of the iPhone 16e starts at $599 for the 128 GB version.
