Patch 1.30 is currently only available for Control Ultimate Edition on Steam and the Epic Games Store (GOG will update later), but will be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, and S in the near future.
The key change in 1.30 was the unlocking of previously exclusive content:
- Astral Dive, Rapid Response, and Urban Strike skins, which were included as a pre-order bonus for the game;
- Missions “The Process of Creating Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Images” with voice acting from the famous game designer Hideo Kojima – previously the task was exclusive to the extended edition on PS4;
- The original version also featured the “Outer Dimensional Suit” from the AWE expansion (required to complete the SHÜM slot machine challenge), but has since been removed from the publication.

The update also adds full support for HDR and ultra-wide monitors (up to 48:9), an “Ultra” setting for ray tracing, and a viewing angle control for the gameplay camera.
In addition, the developers implemented support for arbitrary resolutions in DLSS, updated the tool to version 3.7, integrated support for DLAA anti-aliasing, and fixed a number of graphical scaling-related bugs.

Among other things, the developers fixed texture streaming, ray tracing and audio bugs, improved graphics adapter detection at launch, updated the SDR mode from 8 to 10 bits, and so on.
Control debuted in August 2019. Since then, the game has sold over 4 million copies and generated over €100 million in net revenue. A sequel is currently in development — Control 2 will be an action RPG.
