Alienware unveiled two budget IPS gaming monitors at MWC — the 25-inch AW2525HM and the 27-inch AW2725DM. The former offers FHD resolution and a 320Hz refresh rate, while the latter supports QHD resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate. Both new products feature the new AW30 design, which features a compact stand and Interstellar Indigo finish.

The Alienware AW2525HM model with a 25-inch screen supports a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, a high refresh rate of 320 Hz and has a matrix response time of 0.5 ms (GtG). The manufacturer claims for the new product 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color space, support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium image synchronization technologies, as well as VESA AdaptiveSync certification. ComfortView Plus technology is responsible for reducing the strain on the user’s eyes.
According to the company, the AW2525HM’s chassis is molded from 85% recycled plastic, and the monitor itself will be shipped in eco-friendly packaging. The Alienware AW2525HM is expected to go on sale this summer. Its recommended price at the time of the announcement is $249.
Alienware AW2725DM
The Alienware AW2725DM model with a 27-inch screen supports a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 180 Hz and has a response time of 1 ms. The new product also supports Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync and VESA AdaptiveSync image synchronization technologies. The AW2725DM display is declared to cover 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. The monitor is also equipped with ComfortView Plus technology (filters out harmful blue light).
The monitor is equipped with a compact ergonomic stand that offers adjustments to the height of the screen above the table, as well as the angles of rotation and tilt. The Alienware AW2725DM is equipped with two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort 1.4. It also has several USB ports.
The manufacturer did not specify the price of the Alienware AW2725DM. It is also unknown when it will go on sale.
