Let us remind you that the Seamless Co-op mod is designed to make it possible to play Dark Souls 3 cooperatively from start to finish: with progress synchronization without repeated calls or connection breaks.
Features, capabilities and limitations of Seamless Co-op:
- If a player dies, the session is not interrupted – he is reborn at the last fire where he rested;
- Defeating a boss no longer sends session participants back to their world;
- The foggy walls that limited multiplayer areas have been removed;
- All dialogues with NPCs are synchronized for all participants;
- The mod supports co-op play for up to six people inclusive;
- If one participant decides to rest by the fire, the state of peace will be reset for everyone;
- Progress in seamless co-op = personal progress;
- Instead of the original system, a newer API from Steam is used for connection;
- Participants in a co-op session can join the host from anywhere in the game world and continue where they left off after reconnecting;
- The mod definitely makes the game easier, so it includes difficulty modifiers (enemy health, friendly fire);
- Dying during a boss fight will put the session participant into observer mode;
- The mod includes optional PvP invasions;
- The mod does not work with hacked or pirated versions of the game;
- The mod does not block the receipt of Steam achievements.
Yui assures that installing Seamless Co-op will not result in an account ban. The mod does not allow connection to FromSoftware matchmaking servers and uses its own save files.
According to the enthusiast, the only way to get banned while using Seamless Co-op is to mod it with the intention of connecting to players on normal saves.
Yui didn’t set the cover on the video
The release of Seamless Co-op on the Nexus Mods platform was accompanied by a gameplay trailer. The mod is in the alpha stage (abundant in errors) and was created for Dark Souls 3 version number 1.15.2.
Despite the early development status, users greeted the release of the Seamless Co-op mod for Dark Souls 3 with delight. “The best thing that ever happened to the Internet,” ImAlexander_YT summed up.
