Chinese company K.A., which produces various adapters and power adapters for video cards, has released a special adapter for connecting the power cable to Nvidia GeForce RTX video cards with a 12+4-pin power connector. The device is equipped with a built-in system for monitoring the power consumption of the video card and the temperature of the power connector, and in addition, it has a small fan built into it.

The presented device is somewhat similar to the Thermal Grizzly Wireview Pro power monitoring module, which performs the same functions. The new product from the Chinese manufacturer is much more compact and, according to the description, is intended for use with GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 video cards. The manufacturer does not indicate the adapter’s compatibility with GeForce RTX 5000 video cards, although it can be physically connected.
Typically, such “180-degree” power adapters serve one purpose: to eliminate excessive physical stress on the power cable when it bends in the case of installing a video card with a 12+4-pin connector in a compact case.
However, an additional feature of the power adapter from the Chinese manufacturer is the presence of an active cooling system. The device has a small built-in fan designed to prevent overheating of the video card power connector (this problem, as it turned out, has not gone away). Earlier, we reported on similar solutions from Ezdiy-fab and CableMod, but then we were talking about a passive cooling system for the connector using an aluminum radiator and thermal pads.
The Chinese manufacturer has released several models of connectors taking into account the angle of installation of the power connector itself – some cards have them upside down. The range also includes models without an LCD display.
The adapter costs 219 yuan (about $30). The new product can be found, for example, on the Taobao trading platform.
