Following Horn of the Abyss, the browser version of the legendary turn-based strategy Heroes of Might and Magic III now supports another unofficial add-on, In the Wake of Gods.

Let us recall that the addon “In the Name of the Gods” was developed by a team of enthusiasts WoG Team, which later reorganized into CoreWoG. The first working version (3.5) was released in November 2001, and in December 2013 the newest build, 3.59, was released.
The browser-based Heroes of Might and Magic III is based on the open-source fan engine VCMI, to which the In the Name of the Gods add-on was ported with all its mechanics, including advanced hero abilities on the battlefield.
Among the main features:
- Unique commanders for each race with their own upgrades and artifacts (replace heroes in battles);
- Additional objects on the map, including the Sphinx and new creature storages (Transylvanian Tavern, Lost Bottle);
- Systems of destruction of cities and construction of new ones in their place;
- Eighth level creatures, emissaries (messengers of the gods), neutral creatures.

Browser “Heroes” has support for crossplay for VCMI users, saving (including automatic), “almost any” browsers (except those built into Telegram) and devices (Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, iOS).
The project is a joint effort by the creator of the Dos.Zone portal under the pseudonym caiiiycuk and the blogger Carter54, who popularizes emulation and retro games. The team plans to support additional campaigns of the “Chronicles of Heroes”.
