The manufacturer of the Framework modular laptops announced a new configuration for the 13.5-inch laptop Framework Laptop 13. Now the system can be equipped with a DC-Roma motherboard with a built-in RISC-V processor Deepcomputing. The product is focused on developers. The platform is designed to work with Ubuntu and Fedora operating systems.

As the basis for such a solution, a four-core 64-bit Starfive JH7110 processor is used with a frequency of 1.5 GHz. The chip has 2 MB Kesh-Mamaty L2, built-in IMG graphics, Starfive ISP signaling processor. Starfive JH7110 is equipped with its own media engine, supports work with video codes H264/H265, PCIe 2.0, HDMI 2.0 interfaces, MIPI CSI RX, MIPI DSI TX, USB 3.0/2.0, as well as a gigabit network adapter.
The Deepcomputing RISC-V Mainboard Motherboard for Framework Laptop 13 also offers 8 GB of the LPDDR4 irreplaceable RAM and supports Microsd/EMMC memory cards. The cost of the solution is $ 199. The offer is available in the official Framework online store.
Framework also reported that options in the form of NVMe-drives WD_Black SN850X with a volume of 8 TB are now available for buyers of its modular laptops.
