Microsoft has already held the first game presentation in 2025, Nintendo outlined the date of the special release of Nintendo Direct about Switch 2, and Sony is in no hurry to arrange the next state of Play. But it seems that it was not long to wait.

Informant Nate the Hate (aka NATEDRAKE), who had been predicting the date of the official announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2, recently hinted at his social networks when to wait for the future release of State of Play.
In mid -January, the insider mentioned that Sony plans to conduct State of Play in February, and in a recent conversation with the user of the X social network hinted when this could happen.

Firstly, Nate the Hate confirmed that the plans have not changed-the next issue of State of Play is allegedly scheduled for February, and, secondly, the request to clarify the deadlines answered the question: “What does your heart tell you?”
Journalists of IGN, Video Games Chronicle and other Western publications saw on the issue of Nate the Hate a clear hint of February 14-the day of all lovers-or at least a week that has a holiday (from the 10th to the 16th).

Sony regularly holds State of Play in January/February to light the releases of the first half of the year. In 2024, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Silent Hill 2 remake became the main stars.
In 2025, Sony plans to release Ghost of Yotei from the Sucker Punch Production and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach from Kojima Production. In the spring, the PS5 is expected to release Indiana Jones and the Great Circle from Machinegames.
