PC Sony accounts are not so smooth users as hoping in the company, so the Japanese platform holder decided to make concessions. At least for some projects.
According to ASAD QIZILBASH, senior vice-president of the publishing department of Studio Business Group, the PSN account will soon be not required for four PC games.
We are talking about the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (will be released on January 30) and the remaster of The Last of US Part II (April 3), as well as the already released God of War Ragnarok and reprint Horizon Zero Dawn.
Those users of the listed projects that the authorization in the PSN will still be held will receive a number of intra-game bonuses:
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2-early access to costumes Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit and Miles Morales 2099 Suit;
- God of War Ragnarok – a set of armor “Black Bear” for Kratos (in a normal situation, it is an exclusive “New Game +”) and a set of resources (500 units of chopped silver and 250 experience points);
- The Last of US Part II Remastered – 50 points for activating bonus functions and additional content;
- Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered – the appearance of “brave from the nor tribe.”
In addition to the mentioned bonuses, the binding of the PSN account will provide users with access to the trophies system and the list of their friends from the PlayStation ecosystem. Whether the authorization will become optional for other Games on the PC is unclear.
Whether the listed games on Steam and Epic Games Store will appear against the backdrop of the requirements of the requirements, where you cannot create an account of PlayStation. At the time of publication, this did not happen.
Sony imposing PSN accounts for PC users explains the desire to ensure order and safe surroundings in games-services, however, there is also binding of accounts in the same-sex releases of the company.
