The Austrian company Noctua justifies the low cost of its fans by serious engineering and scientific study of their design and high efficiency with low noise levels. With the onset of winter and the energy crisis in some European countries, it found a new application for its products – in space heating systems.

At least, as Tom’s Hardware explains with reference to Noctua’s corporate blog, the Austrian manufacturer backed up the idea of using fans to enhance indoor air convection with some calculations. Noctua suggests installing from one to three case fans on each of the heating radiators in the house, providing them with the necessary power supplies and control devices. The fans themselves, in the amount of two or three pieces, will cost Europeans from 50 to 105 euros; additional accessories will increase the cost of the kit for one heating radiator to 200 euros.
As Noctua notes, the air flow created by fans, which enhances convection, will reduce heating costs by 5-10%. Depending on tariffs for thermal energy, such modernization in some cases may make economic sense. In addition, improving air exchange conditions can help prevent the formation of mold and wet walls. The only problem may be an aesthetic nuance, because Noctua never offered pure white fans, and its signature combination of cream and chocolate colors will not fit into every interior.
