Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, released in 2003, almost ruined the series of action-adventure games about the tomb raider Lara Croft, and the developers of the Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered collection intend to properly update what many fans consider to be the worst game in the franchise.

According to the creators of Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered from studios Aspyr and Saber Interactive, The Angel of Darkness did not reveal its potential at launch, but over the years it has earned a cult status, including thanks to cut content discovered by fans. Much of it is going to be implemented in the remaster.

In particular, former Legion member Curtis Trent will have his lost skills returned (telepathic shield, fast running, shooting from around corners) and the Chirugai blade, the location in Paris will be completed with training for belly crawling, a number of replicas of Lara and Curtis will be restored, as well as inventory items (like von Croy’s cane with a secret).

In addition, they promise improved controls (tank controls will also be available) with 360-degree camera rotation, jumping/around corners and sequential jumps, useful items for purchase at Daniel Renn’s pawn shop and the herbal store, as well as new notes in the notebook von Croy.

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered will be released on February 14 on PC (990 rubles on Steam, EGS, GOG), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, S and Nintendo Switch. In addition to Angel of Darkness, the collection includes The Last Revelation (1999) and Chronicles (2000). The other day, the authors showed a trailer for bosses in the updated games of the trilogy.
