400 of CD Projekt Red’s 650 employees are already working on the ambitious open-world action RPG The Witcher 4, but how many of them can be considered experienced? The Polish studio clarified the situation.
According to CD Projekt co-head Michał Nowakowski, about a hundred The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developers and several veterans of the series are working on the studio’s new projects, including The Witcher 4.
«The same person has been responsible for directing the main story since Witcher 1. The same person has been overseeing the preservation of the vision [of the game] since Witcher 1. I’ve also been in the business for about 20 years,” Novakovsky assured.
«New designers and writers worked on it in preparation for The Witcher 4, under the supervision of some of our most experienced quest designers who have been with us since The Witcher 1,” Weber shared.
According to the plot of The Witcher 4, Ciri has passed the Trial of Herbs and is preparing to become a real witcher – CDPR has already confirmed that in the new game the heroine will not be as strong as in The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 4 does not yet have a release date or target platforms, but has recently entered the active production stage. At release, the game will receive support for the latest Nvidia RTX technologies.
