At CES 2025, PowerColor showed three versions of the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 video cards in the branded Red Devil, Hellhound and Reaper versions. The latter was developed exclusively for video cards based on the new RDNA 4 graphics architecture.
The Paul’s Hardware YouTube channel was one of the first to get acquainted with the new PowerColor products. PowerColor, like other manufacturers who have already shown their Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 versions, does not provide technical details about video cards. This information will be available at the time of the full presentation of the accelerators, which, according to recent rumors, may take place on January 22, 23 or 24.
The fact that PowerColor is going to introduce a new version of Reaper for the new generation Radeon video cards became known even before CES 2025. At the event itself, the company showed the Radeon RX 9070 model in this version. The card is equipped with a cooling system with three fans, which is two slots thick extensions.
The Radeon RX 9070 Hellhound also has two expansion slots thick. Reaper and Hellhound are equipped with two 8-pin connectors for additional power.
The flagship version of Red Devil is equipped with a more massive cooler. The thickness of the video card is 2.5 expansion slots. Unlike the other two cards from PowerColor, the Red Devil version received three 8-pin power connectors. All three cards are equipped with a dual BIOS system with quiet and performance modes.
