Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Buds 6 Pro wireless headphones. For the first time, the manufacturer used a triple speaker system in the new product, including a dual 6.7 mm piezoelectric ceramic driver and an 11 mm dynamic driver with titanium coating.
According to Xiaomi, thanks to the new speaker system, the treble volume of the Redmi Buds 6 Pro is 10% higher than its predecessor. Redmi Buds 6 Pro support spatial audio, as well as MIHC, LDHC 5.0 and LC3 audio codecs. The new product is equipped with a Deep Space Noise Reduction 2.0 noise reduction system with a proprietary algorithm, which filters noise up to 55 dBA and has several settings levels. The three-microphone system blocks wind noise up to 12 m/s during calls.
Taking into account recharging from the case, Redmi Buds 6 Pro provide up to 36 hours of operation. Five minutes of charging the headphones is enough for two hours of listening to music.
Along with the basic version of Redmi Buds 6 Pro, the company also introduced a special gaming version of the wireless headphones. It offers lower audio latency (20ms via a dedicated adapter), supports LHDC Lossless audio codec, and comes with a faster 67W charging case. In addition, the gaming version can operate further from the sound source – up to 130 meters via an adapter – compared to the standard model.
Redmi Buds 6 Pro are offered in green, white and black colors. The basic version of the wireless headphones is priced at 399 yuan (about $55) and is already available for sale in China. The gaming version of Redmi Buds 6 Pro received a price tag of 499 yuan ($69). It will go on sale in China from December 3.
