The new product uses 11-mm four-magnetic dynamic drivers with microplanar tweeters, as well as four microphones and a bone conduction microphone. The microphones are responsible for the active noise reduction system, which can block external sounds with a volume of up to 100 dBA. The new product also has support for spatial audio, and the latency in games is about 90 ms.

To connect, FreeBuds Pro 4 use the Bluetooth 5.2 protocol. For headphones, support for SBC, AAC, LDAC and L2HC 4.0 codecs is declared. The latter is only available when connected to Huawei smartphones and tablets running HarmonyOS 4.0 and newer. The manufacturer claims IP54 moisture protection for FreeBuds Pro 4. The weight of each earphone is 5.8 grams, the weight of the charger case is 47 grams.

In music listening mode without noise reduction, FreeBuds Pro 4 will last up to 7 hours on battery power, and with recharging from the case – up to 33 hours. With noise reduction, these figures will be reduced to 5 or 23 hours, respectively. In phone call mode without noise reduction, the new product will work up to 4.5 hours or 22 hours with a case, and with noise reduction – up to 3.5 hours or 18 hours, respectively.

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 will be available in Obsidian Black, Snow White and Spruce Green. The manufacturer priced them at 1,499 yuan (about $206). In China, sales of headphones will begin on December 4, but you can order them now.
