Huawei presented the flagship tablet MatePad Pro 13.2 at an event in China along with the Huawei Mate 70 line of smartphones. The tablet has a capacious battery and runs HarmonyOS 4.3 with the ability to upgrade to HarmonyOS Next. The cost of the new item starts at 5,199 yuan (about $715), and the most expensive collector’s version is estimated at 10,599 yuan (≈ $1,460).
The new Huawei MatePad Pro is equipped with a 13.2-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2,880 × 1,920 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a brightness level of 1,000 cd/m² and HDR Vivid support. The tablet supports up to 16 GB of RAM, and the built-in storage can have a capacity of up to 1 TB.
Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 has a dual rear camera, including a 13-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle module. The tablet is also equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The stereo sound system consists of six built-in speakers and supports Huawei Sound technology.
The device runs HarmonyOS 4.3 with the ability to upgrade to HarmonyOS Next. The tablet supports PC-like multi-window operation and allows users to control certain actions, such as taking photos, using gestures. Huawei MatePad Pro also supports the Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard.
The 10,100 mAh battery charges from 0 to 80 percent in 40 minutes, with a full charge time of 65 minutes. Communication capabilities are represented by dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. The multi-band positioning sensor supports GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo and QZSS navigation systems. There is a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port. The tablet is equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the side.
The dimensions of the Huawei MatePad Pro are 196.1 × 289.1 × 5.5 mm and the weight is 580 g. The tablet is available in black, gold and white colors. It is currently available for pre-orders on Huawei’s Vmall online store in China and will go on sale on December 12th.
The price of Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 in China starts at 5199 yuan (≈ $715) for the variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage. Increasing storage to 512 GB raises the price to 5,699 yuan (≈ $780). The most expensive collector’s version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB storage is estimated at 10,599 yuan (≈ $1,460).
