Microsoft announced that its artificial intelligence-powered Designer app has left preview and is now available to all users of the iOS and Android operating systems. The application allows you to create images and designs based on text prompts. With it you can create, for example, stickers, greeting cards, invitations, collages and much more.

The web version of the Designer application now supports more than 80 languages. It is also available as a free mobile application and as an application within the Windows operating system. Designer has “prompt templates” designed to help users get started in the creative process. Templates include styles and descriptions that you can customize and share with others. In addition to stickers, you can use text prompts to create emoticons, pictures, wallpapers, monograms, avatars and much more.

Additionally, Designer can be used to edit the image style using AI. For example, you can upload a selfie photo to the app, then choose from a set of styles and add additional details to the image. Coming soon to Designer is a “replace background” feature that will allow you to use text prompts to replace the background of your images.

The standalone Designer app is compatible with Word and PowerPoint via Copilot. Copilot Pro subscribers can use Designer to create images right in their workspace. The company will soon add the ability to create banners for a particular document based on the content of Word documents.

Microsoft also said that the Designer app has also received deeper integration into Microsoft Photos as part of Windows 11. Users will be able to use AI to edit photos without leaving the Photos app. You can remove objects and background from photos and perform automatic cropping right in the application.
