Developers from Mundfish presented two new screenshots of the third story addition to the shooter Atomic Heart, and also published a translation of a September interview with studio head Robert Bagratuni to the Japanese magazine Famitsu.
According to Bagratuni, the third add-on is being created with an eye on player feedback: “We will not exaggerate if we say that we tried to make it the most exciting of all that came out before.”
The main theme of the future expansion will be the return: of players to gameplay, of heroes – of what was lost. This motive will be key both in the plot and in the general atmosphere of the DLC.
The upcoming adventure will take players to new amazing locations, as well as to familiar territories that have changed beyond recognition, like the Chelomey complex from the September teaser.
In addition to weapons and skills, players will find new gameplay elements, including ways to interact with the environment. The developers focused on ensuring that users “constantly receive new experiences.”
Bagratuni assured Famitsu that the third story expansion for Atomic Heart will be released “very soon.” The head of Mundfish also hinted that players will receive “some interesting things” along with the addon.
The third addition to Atomic Heart does not yet have a name or specific release date. It was previously reported that in the add-on users will go deep underwater – past teasers included footage of the flooded Neptune complex.
