The Rutube video platform has begun labeling channels whose audience exceeds 10 thousand subscribers and which have been included in the Roskomnadzor register, TASS reports, citing the service’s press service.
On November 1, a law came into force requiring owners of pages and channels on social networks to register in the register maintained by Roskomnadzor. When the number of channel subscribers on Rutube exceeds 10 thousand, a button “Submit information to Roskomnadzor” appears in the “Rutube studio” section, clicking which leads to the “State Services” page, where you can register the channel.
Roskomnadzor presented the procedure for creating and maintaining the register in September. A record about a channel or social network page includes its name, index, last name, first name and patronymic of the owner; It is also proposed to include information about subscriber numbers, email addresses and network addresses of equipment.
Pages that have reached the threshold of popularity on the platforms Likee, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Telegram, LiveJournal, Pikabu, Pinterest, Rutube, Zen, Twich, Discord and Yappy are subject to registration. The corresponding document was previously published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts, but was subsequently deleted due to a technical failure, TASS claims.
