The head of development and lead screenwriter for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Daniel Vavra, admitted on his microblog that he was “a little worried” about the game’s release shortly before Assassin’s Creed Shadows (February 11 and 14).

«KCDII will be released a few days before the new Assassin’s Creed. I’m a little worried, but I wonder if a small company with a hardcore old-school RPG can compete with a corporate product for a modern audience,” Vavra shared.

The developer called himself a big fan of Assassin’s Creed. He abandoned Valhalla because of its “ridiculous” depiction of the Scandinavian religion, and considers Origins to be the last successful game in the series – thanks to it, Vavra’s daughter met Ancient Egypt.

Let us remind you that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will throw players into the midst of a civil war in Bohemia in the 15th century. The protagonist is again Henry from Skalitz, who still seeks revenge for the death of his loved ones.

The events of Assassin’s Creed Shadows will unfold in the open world of feudal Japan. There are two main characters and playstyles – the agile and secretive shinobi Naoe, and the legendary dark-skinned samurai Yasuke.
