As a rule, they try to fix bugs in games as soon as possible, but sometimes mistakes made elude developers for years. This is exactly what has happened to Valve and its team shooter Team Fortress 2 for the last 17 years.

The recently released update for Team Fortress 2 attracted the attention of players with a seemingly insignificant item: “Fixed the blue Scout using pants of the wrong team color.”

The idea of one of Team Fortress 2’s most prominent characters traversing the battlefield in the wrong color pants all these years shocked fans and cast doubt on the Scout’s ability to style his wardrobe.

The shock was contributed by the fact that many did not notice the trick with the Scout. “Even after almost 20 years, the game continues to fix things that I never thought were broken,” MrCheggersPartyQuiz shared on Reddit.

However, blogger shounic noticed the problem a year and a half ago – the character was missing just one layer in the Photoshop file. By the way, due to the correction of the main pants, all the alternative ones now do not correspond to them in color.

Otherwise, fans joke that “Team Fortress 2 is now playable” and “the game is saved” (or vice versa), and also publish memes – the official subreddit is now full of them (one example can be seen in the image above).

Team Fortress 2 was released in October 2007, and became free-to-play in June 2011. In April 2024, the game received 64-bit support – the update brought with it technical improvements and an unusual bug.
