«The new version of InnoVtol is our planned continuation of the line of vertical take-off and landing drones. Instead of a hybrid circuit, the drone became completely electric. It is three times lighter than the previous version, but also well solves planned monitoring tasks over a relatively large area. Now the new drone is undergoing a whole range of tests and testing in field conditions,” the source quotes the director of Innopolis University, Iskander Bariev, as saying. He also said that serial production of InnoVtol-A12 should begin in the second half of 2025.

The university press service said that the new drone is equipped with lidar scanning modules and high-precision geodetic cameras. Thanks to this, the drone can be used for detailed aerial photography, creating three-dimensional terrain models, and will also be useful in geodesy, cartography and construction. The device is designed according to the “flying wing” design from composite materials. Design features allow vertical takeoff and landing in a given area on any surface, including unprepared dirt or embankment sites.

«The drone is capable of rising to a height of up to 2.5 thousand meters, flying at a cruising speed of 80 km/h, carrying a payload of up to 1.5 kg for over 1.5 hours without recharging,” says the press service of the University. Innopolis”.
