Samsung will introduce the new Galaxy S25 series of smartphones next week, on January 22. The Brazilian portal Technoblog shared images of the official promotional slides of the new series, which indicate the key characteristics of smartphones.
The Galaxy S25+ (and likely the standard S25) will feature a 50-megapixel main camera with 2x lossless zoom, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x zoom, and a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. Both smartphones will also have 12-megapixel front cameras. Like its predecessor, the new Galaxy S25+ will be equipped with a 4900 mAh battery. Samsung says the device will provide up to 30 hours of video playback on a single charge.
The older model Galaxy S25 Ultra will receive the same set of cameras as its predecessor. It will include a 200-megapixel main sensor with support for 2x lossless zoom, a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens and 3x optical zoom. The front camera will also have a resolution of 12 megapixels. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, which will allow the device to operate for up to 31 hours in video playback mode.
All Galaxy S25 series smartphones will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and will offer 12 GB of RAM in the base configuration.
The fresh leak also reveals details about the AI features that will appear in the new Galaxy S25 series. Now Brief will provide personalized daily briefs, including morning, evening and travel updates. Morning reports will include data on the weather, the user’s schedule, as well as information about activity when using a smartphone with a smart watch or smart tracker. Trip Summary will offer navigation and start playing music when you enter the car. The evening review will provide data on the day’s activity and create “memorable moments” of the day in the form of photo collages.
The new flagship series of Samsung smartphones will also receive integration with the updated Google Gemini virtual assistant. It will be able to read on-screen text in apps like YouTube and interact with Samsung’s proprietary apps, including Samsung Notes.
