Intel has notified partners that it will soon cease production of some models of 12th generation Core mobile processors. Alder Lake-U, P, H and HK series chips will fall under the knife. It is important to clarify that these processors have not yet reached the end of their life cycle (EOL). In July 2025, the company will stop accepting orders for their production, and these processors will officially retire on January 23, 2026.

The list of processors that Intel will stop producing in the near future includes Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9 models from the above series. It also includes Pentium, Celeron and the flagship Core i9-12900HK.
The list does not include high-end HX series models or Alder Lake-S desktop models. It also lacks the energy-efficient Alder Lake-N models.
As for the core line of Core chips for laptops, Intel has good reasons to discontinue these series. The company actively ships processors based on several architectures, including Raptor Lake, Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake. As a result, interest in Alder Lake models has decreased significantly, especially in the mobile segment. However, some products are still quite popular, such as Alder Lake-N, so they probably won’t be discontinued just yet.
