At the recent CES 2025, electronics manufacturers presented many interesting new products, including both finished products and prototypes that are yet to hit the market. One of these new products was a prototype power supply for a computer from Corsair, the main feature of which is the presence of a liquid cooling system.
The new Corsair power supply has a fanless design, as the liquid cooling system is responsible for heat dissipation. This makes the device virtually silent even under high load. In fact, the noise level of the entire system does not exceed the noise level of the liquid cooling system itself.
At the moment, Corsair has not yet confirmed its intention to release a liquid-cooled power supply to the market. The prototype unveiled at CES 2025 did not have any markings, so it remains unknown how much power output it is capable of delivering. It is also worth noting that the published photographs do not contain markings indicating that the device is a Corsair product.
Noise levels are becoming an increasingly important parameter for manufacturers. The low noise level of one vendor’s products compared to similar products can be a decisive factor that attracts the attention of consumers and increases sales. Corsair’s liquid-cooled prototype keeps noise levels to a minimum thanks to the absence of fans or other moving parts in the design. Users can only integrate the device into an existing liquid cooling circuit.
