During Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s speech at CES 2025, humanoid robots created by the company’s partners were demonstrated next to him. According to media reports, of the 14 robots presented, six were developed by Chinese companies, which is the highest level of country representation in this segment. Some of them were demonstrated live at the exhibition.

Among the robots on display is the bipedal Digit from Agility, which was also shown along with a miniature conveyor belt at Nvidia’s closed booth. Its previous version was shown at CES 2020 as part of Ford’s presentation.
As TechCrunch reports, the presence of humanoid robots at CES 2025 was largely limited to small companies, with the exception of Austin, USA-based Apptronik. Its Apollo robot showed up at the Texas Instruments booth because it uses some modules developed by the Dallas-based semiconductor company.

Like other first-generation humanoid robots, Apollo is designed to perform routine tasks in a factory environment. However, Apollo was demonstrated at CES 2025, which is not an intelligent autonomous version of the robot intended for work in a factory.
Apptronik reportedly launched a pilot project with Mercedes to introduce humanoid robots into production in March last year. Prior to this, similar deals to use humanoid robots in industrial settings were concluded between Figure and BMW, as well as Agility and Amazon.
